Microsoft has awarded a $100,000 TechSpark grant to the University of North Dakota to support its work with drones. The UND Aerospace Foundation will use the grant with a drone startup company, Airtonomy, to field test a Microsoft platform for drone aerial imaging. Commercial applications, like crop scouting, will be part of the project.
