Spring thaw is speeding up planting discussions in southern Minnesota. BASF Technical Service Representative Duane Rathmann says frost is coming out of the ground. Farmers may want to start thinking about weed management. Rathmann says there are many choices for farmers and a good pre-emergence program is key. “In soybeans for example, dicamba tolerant beans have been out for about three years,” he says. “There is regular Roundup Ready soybeans and there are Liberty soybeans.That gives farmers options depending on their weed issues.”
