The Environmental Protection Agency hosted a hearing Friday on providing flexibility for E15 and the RIN compliance system. Biofuel supporters asked the agency not to adopt proposed changes to RINs and to finalize the E15 rule. Growth Energy CEO Emily Skor testified. “It is vital RIN market changes adopted by the agency do not tilt the market in favor of oil and refiners and away from retailers who seek to deliver a cleaner, more affordable biofuel blend to consumers,” said Skor. The National Corn Growers Association urged the EPA to complete the E15 rulemaking process by June 1, to ensure sales aren’t disrupted.
