According the Farm Futures planting survey, U.S. farmers may plant less corn than previously projected by USDA. The survey reported corn acreage at 90.9 million, up 1.7 million from last year. The increase was less than the 92 million in the latest USDA forecast. Soybean plantings are estimated at 85.9 million, a decrease of 3.7 percent from 2018. Yet, soybean acres are reported higher than the 85 million USDA recently forecasted. Winter wheat planting are estimated at 31.3 million acres. That would drop all-wheat seedings to 45.9 million acres, down 5.1 percent from the previous year.
