Friday’s USDA export sales report ‘was a yawner,’ according to Stewart-Peterson Senior Market Advisor Brian Doherty, but corn continues to be a bright spot. USDA reported soybean export sales for the 2018/19 marketing year at 6.5 million tonnes, at the lower end of trade guesses. The 2019/20 marketing year sales are reported at 379,000 tonnes. Corn export sales are reported at six million tonnes, towards the upper end of trade guesses. The 2019/20 marketing year sales for corn are 29,000 tonnes. The 2018/19 wheat export sales are reported at 3.6 million tonnes.
