Choices still need to be made for the 2019 growing season. Bayer CropScience customer business advisor John Christiansen says the market situation and long winter are factors. “I think there is a lot of indecision yet waiting to see what the market prices are going to do and when spring finally comes.” Acreage decisions are still up in the air. “I think wheat is going to be up a little bit and everything else is subject to market prices and what is going well at that time. If we start the year cold and wet, it could shift us back to some of the later-season crops.”
