The fall cattle run is winding down near Dickinson, North Dakota. Stockmen’s Livestock Exchange owner Larry Schnell says it was a decent run. “There are plenty of calves left to sell,” he says. “Most anyone who sold this fall had steers, but kept their heifer calves. We’ll sell more after the first of the year, normal for us.” Schnell is hopeful the market will improve in the new year.
