Brazilian agriculture consultant and Greenbush, Minnesota native Kory Melby is beginning to hear rumors of possible amounts of soybeans China will purchase from the U.S. “Chinese chat rooms are discussing eight million tons of soybeans bought by the end of the year, 12 million tons of corn and some wheat. I’m keeping my ear to the ground.” However, Melby says there is no indication of any grain movement out of the Pacific Northwest. “Until we see activity, it’s hard to take the chatter seriously.”
