Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue applauded the signing of the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement. In a statement, Perdue says the new trade agreement “makes important specific changes beneficial to farmers.” The USMCA will need to be ratified by lawmakers in all three countries before it takes effect. Senate Agriculture Committee Chairman Pat Roberts “looks forward to reviewing the agreement in 2019.”
