Dan Melaas, a BASF Seed Agronomist for Credenz Soybeans, tells farmers to consider plot data on soybean varieties when making decisions for the 2019 growing season. “Yield is always a big thing to consider,” says Melaas. “We also have differences in herbicide systems, new LibertyLink GT27 varieties, to help with weed issues.” There are also varieties with strong disease tolerance. “Watch what’s going on with white mold and Soybean Cyst Nematode resistance in fields. Paying close attention to details will help farmers make better decisions.”
