Congressman Kevin Cramer will be sworn in as North Dakota’s newest senator, defeating incumbent Heidi Heitkamp Tuesday by nearly 11 percent. During a recent interview with the Red River Farm Network, Cramer was asked what his priorities would be if elected. “If we wake up Wednesday morning and I’m Senator-elect, I still have to be the congressman for a couple months and there is a high priority in getting the farm bill done.” North Dakota is the only state in the country with every member of its congressional delegation; Senator Hoeven, Senator Heitkamp and Congressman Cramer serving on the farm bill conference committee. Cramer said there is enough momentum to finish the farm bill before the end of the year.
