The University of Minnesota – Crookston hosted a farm-to-table dinner Friday, highlighting local food production. UMC Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs John Hoffman says this is a new take on the work being done at the university. Most of the produce and food people consumed was raised by students. “Sometimes people forget how important food is to society. Also, with the demand for food increasing and technology creating new types of careers, never before have there been greater opportunities for careers in agriculture.”
