Former North Dakota State University Extension Director Sharon Anderson was honored as the Harvest Bowl Agribusiness Award recipient Friday night. Anderson was the first woman to serve as district director for NDSU Extension and was the first woman to lead the entire program. Likewise, Anderson breaks another barrier, becoming the first woman to receive this prestigious award. “Being recognized by people in this state that you’ve worked with and that you’ve known for decades is just the most fun of all,” said Anderson.” In addition, county agriculturalist awards were presented Friday night. The honorees included individuals from throughout North Dakota and northwest Minnesota.
