Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue recently said the Trump Administration has no plans for trade assistance payments in 2019, which triggered a response from North Dakota Farmers Union President Mark Watne. In a statement, Watne said the Administration made the decision to launch a trade war, which sent markets lower. President Trump pledged to hold farmers harmless and Watne says the opposite is true.
