For Mayville, North Dakota farmer Wayne Nelson, soybean harvest is in the books. “With all the hard freezes we had, the soybeans went through the combine really well.” says Nelson. “Soybean yields were excellent. For our farm, it might be a record.” While nuisance showers are causing corn harvest delays, Nelson says the crop is standing and harvesting well. “I’m satisfied with yields, as there are a lot of bushels to handle. That 21 percent moisture is excellent for harvesting and there’s been very little header loss.”
