Farmers in the Minot, North Dakota area continue to make good harvest progress. “A ton of acres have been harvested over the past 10 days,” says Courtney Meduna, a technical agronomist for Dekalb Asgrow. “A lot of farmers are finishing soybeans and getting deep into the corn acres.” According to Meduna, yields in the area are better than expected. “Early soybean yields are out-yielding some of the full season maturities. That’s because we had good rains early in the growing season, then they shut off mid-July. However, better than expected yields are being seen in the later maturing varieties.”
