The 2018 harvest season is a wrap for Brocket, North Dakota farmer Austin Sundeen. “About a week ago, we were able to start on corn again at 19 to 20 percent moisture. Stalk quality held up good and ear drop wasn’t a problem,” says Sundeen. ” Yields were surprisingly pretty decent. Test weights ranged from 54 to 56.5 pounds, so we’re happy with that.” This year’s soybean crop was less impressive for Sundeen. “We could have used an extra rain in August. It wasn’t one of the better crops we’ve had, that’s for sure.”
