High winds, excessive rains and severe storms pummeled the Faribault, Minnesota area Thursday. KDHL farm broadcaster Jerry Groskreutz explains. “It came with two-to-six inches of rain in just a downpour. With those winds, a lot of corn got totally flattened. Some of it just got twisted up a little bit. One big bin site was totally destroyed with the dryer. A dairy farmer I know had a number of his dairy barns go down. This is just the last thing we needed at this time of the year.”
