Gordley and Associates’ Dale Thorenson says lawmakers don’t want to officially acknowledge they aren’t going to get a farm bill completed. “We haven’t heard there’s been enough progress made they would get it done, but they’re still working at it. I believe that there are some issues in the conservation title. I think just how Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) and Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP) and some of those other issues are handled in each bill. They have to reconcile them and I think if the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) issue was taken care of, those probably get taken care of quite easily.”
