The Argentine economy is in a freefall. To prop up the value of its currency, the Central Bank of Argentina raised its key interest rate to 60 percent Wednesday. That’s up from the previous rate of 45 percent. To stabilize the currency crisis, the Argentine government is expected to announce significant budget cuts today.
