Canola harvest has begun in the Minot, North Dakota area. Dakota Agronomy Partners agronomy manager Mike Benjamin describes this year’s crop as fair. “We just got started, but time will tell. Some looks really good and some looks not so good,” says Benjamin. “The crop went through a lot of heat when it was filling pods. However, one farmer told me it was the best canola he’s ever had. The next guy I talked with said it was running about 1,200 pounds.”
