Nebraska-based custom forage harvester Glen Jantzen is chopping corn. “We started a couple three weeks ago down in Kansas. Certain areas of Kansas are very, very dry. They’re still working down there. We started here in southeast Nebraska a few days ago. We got a nice big rain. The corn has been fantastic around here.” Hot temperatures have pushed the maturity of the corn. Jantzen is scrambling to keep ahead of the maturity.
