The Purdue University/CME Group Ag Economy Barometer shows farmer sentiment falling sharply in July as confidence in the farm economy is shaken by trade concerns. The Ag Economy Barometer fell 26 points to a reading of 117 points was driven largely by a 39-point drop in the Index of current conditions and a 20-point drop in index of future expectations. The decline is the largest one-month decline in nearly three years, but the index still remains well above the all-time low of 92 points set in October 2016.
