Hillsboro, North Dakota farmer Sarah Lovas began wheat harvest last Friday. “It was about 15 percent when we started harvesting. Saturday, we ran out of dry straw to get through. So we took Sunday off and started up again on Monday. When we started, I suppose it was about 13 percent. It has dropped down to about 12.5 percent as of Monday.” Lovas says the the wheat yields are hovering around 70 to 75 bushels.
