The National FFA Organization and Microsoft came to North Dakota to announce an initiative called Blue 365. This effort will provide digital content to students across the country, highlighting technology, research and innovation. National FFA CEO Mark Poeschl explains why this announcement was made in North Dakota. “We have the highest concentration of FFA members in high schools in North Dakota than in any state in the country; one-in-five high school students in this state is an FFA member. More significantly, Fargo is a technological center. Some of the biggest technology breakthroughs are happening right here in Fargo, North Dakota.” Microsoft President Brad Smith said Blue 365 brings technology to the future of agriculture. “The farmers of the future are going to need to know more about data science and computer science. It is a new generation of technology that will produce a new generation of farmers.” Blue 365 will be unveiled at the National FFA Convention this October in Indianapolis.
