A group of Republican lawmakers were at the White House Wednesday to outline concerns about the Administration’s trade policy when they were brought into the Rose Garden announcement. Senate Agriculture Committee Chairman Pat Roberts said they unknowingly became “eye candy” for the US-EU announcement. Ultimately, Roberts, House Agriculture Committee Chairman Mike Conaway, North Dakota Senator John Hoeven South Dakota Representative Kristi Noem and others met with Trump to discuss trade and the farm bill. The meeting was described as “very productive.”
