In the July USDA Crop Production report, USDA forecast Minnesota’s wheat production at 104 million bushels, 38 percent more that last year and if realized the largest spring wheat crop since 1996. Yield is expected to tie last year’s record at 67 bushels per acre. Harvested acres are expected to total 1.56 million, 38 percent more than a year ago.
