President Donald Trump has announced his intention to nominate Indiana farmer Kip Tom as the U.S. representative to the United Nations agencies for food and agriculture in Rome. This position is considered an ambassador position. Tom ran for Congress in 2016 and his name was included in the speculation when President Trump was selecting people for positions at USDA, including agriculture secretary.
