South Dakota-based custom combiner Craig Wolf just finished harvesting wheat in the Pierre, South Dakota area. “There was a lot of wheat that was hailed out here in the Pierre area. The farmers didn’t plant a lot of wheat. They went with other stuff and we’re done now. We’re getting ready to go to eastern South Dakota in a day or two.” Wolf harvested wheat in Oklahoma and Kansas and the protein was really good in Oklahoma. Wolf expects the North Dakota harvest to be on time and plans to start work near Devils Lake at the beginning of August. Harvest Hotline is sponsored, in part, by U.S. Custom Harvesters Incorporated.
