Informa Economics Senior Vice-President Jim Wiesemeyer says the inability to deal with reallocating ethanol waivers was likely the last straw for EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt. “He couldn’t even defend that. It was like every day there was another potential charge against him. I don’t know whether all of them were true, but these things start adding up. The question most people had in Washington D.C. was if he would be gone before or after the election.”
