Nearly 95 acres of farmland donated by Linda Patterson and Mary Kosel will provide the North Dakota State College of Science agriculture students with hands-on learning experiences. Growing on the land are wheat, soybean and corn crops. “Our students are gaining hands-on learning experiences,” says NDSCS Agriculture Department Chair Craig Zimprich. “The applied learning and demonstrations at the land lab really resonates with them and add to their educational experience.” The students are also able to gain insight from businesses and agricultural professionals who are sharing their knowledge with the students.
