Nitrogen deficiency symptoms are evident in many fields across the region. Helena Agri-Enterprises sales representative Tim Stanislawski has been fielding calls about yellowing in corn, wheat and sugarbeets. “In areas that got the big rains, we have been seeing nitrogen deficiency,” said Stanislawski. “No doubt, adding some kind of nitrogen to your mix will help the crop grow a little faster and get that root system down into the ground where there is the nitrogen.” Stanislawski sees value in foliar feeding the crop with the herbicide application.
