The sugarbeet crop is variable in the Minn-Dak growing region. Vice President of Agriculture Tom Knudson says this crop is closer to a normal crop. “It was two phenomenal years for growth and the crop. No predictions and no projections on what we end up with.” With some of the crop close to closing the rows, Minn-Dak expects to have their 2018 protocol in place for fungicide treatment soon. “Most of theses fields are probably at least two to three weeks away. We’ll be putting out an advisory on the website this week on our recommendations of a control program for 2018.”
