USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service says South Dakota’s corn crop is rated 66 percent good to excellent. The soybean crop is rated 61 percent good to excellent, with most of the crop emerged. Spring wheat is rated 85 percent fair to good, with 48 percent of the crop headed, which is ahead of average. South Dakota’s sunflowers are 75 percent plated, which is behind last year, but ahead of average. Pasture conditions are rated 84 percent fair to good.
