Central Livestock Association, which is based at South St. Paul, has paid a $2,000 penalty for alleged violations of the Packers and Stockyards Act. Central Livestock comingled cattle from different consigners and failed to maintain the identity of each seller’s livestock in late 2017. Average carcass weights were assigned to those carcasses, which is a violation of USDA regulations. Central Livestock has locations in West Fargo, North Dakota and Zumbrota, Albany and Rock Creek, Minnesota.
