Lake Benton, Minnesota farmer Bob Worth says growing conditions are better in his part of the state and the crop is doing fine. “We have corn that’s way over knee high already, which is unheard of for us and the soybeans are just growing like crazy, but so are the weeds. We have all our corn sprayed, but we have not sprayed soybeans yet. They need to be sprayed.” Worth says the area is getting enough rain to delay fieldwork, but not enough rain to fill the subsoil.
