Hurdsfield, North Dakota farmers like Terry Weckerly are in dire need of a good rain for the crops. “We haven’t had a general spring rain yet. Part of our farm received a small amount of rain, which brightened the spirit. However, when you’re out here every day, cultivating and watching it get drier, knowing what’s going on with the topsoil, we need some rain.” The National Weather Service in Bismarck says the Hurdsfield, North Dakota area will get some rain this week-at least half an inch. Weckerly says the small grains are coming up good. There is some spraying to do and also, rock picking.
