House Agriculture Committee Chairman Michael Conaway has filed the farm bill that passed in his committee. The report includes dissenting views, written by the Democratic members of the committee. SNAP and the nutrition title have been at the heart of the disagreement between the two parties. In addition, the Democrats claim the farm bill provides too little support for farmers during this time of low prices and high costs. Changes to the pesticide registration process were also criticized. When the farm bill comes to the House floor, the Democratic members of the agriculture committee is asking all Democrats to reject it.
