Growers in the Minn-Dak Farmers Co-op growing region have about one-third of their sugarbeets planted. Vice President of Agriculture Tom Knudson says soil conditions are mostly good. “There are a few wet pockets. Those farmers will be a little bit behind, but not noticeably, unless we’d get ongoing rain. This time of the year things dry out quickly.”
