Farmers have a chance to learn more about new uses and added value products at the Agricultural Utilization Research Institute’s New Uses Forum. One of the hot topics in the industry is innovation in bio products and co products. AURI Director of Communications Erik Evans says value added agriculture offers new revenue streams for farmers. “There are uses for new crops and ways to utilize existing crops. Farmers can add a cover crop for the winter or look at the industrial hemp business. There are many ways to monetize these opportunities.” The forum will be held Wednesday and Thursday in Plymouth, Minnesota. Here’s more information on the event.
