Carah Hart joined the Red River Farm Network team in August 2015. She grew up on a farm near Carrollton, Missouri and was actively involved in 4-H and the National FFA Organization.
Hart has a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Journalism from the University of Missouri, with an emphasis in broadcast. After graduation, she worked in public relations and project management, serving agriculture clients in the soybean, dairy and beef checkoff programs. Hart got her start in farm broadcasting at KMZU in Carrollton, Missouri in 2007. She has also interned with Brownfield Ag News.
Hart currently serves as the National Association of Farm Broadcasting West Region Vice-President. In 2021, she received her Honorary State FFA Degree in North Dakota. In 2018, she was awarded the NAFB Horizon Award, recognizing new farm broadcasters who show promise in the industry. She has traveled on behalf of RRFN to Ecuador. In her free time, Hart enjoys spending time with her husband, Nick, close family, friends and Sir Basil the corgi.
