The season started wet at Raymond, Minnesota, delaying the first alfalfa cutting. Noah Hultgren says the conditions turned much drier later in the summer. Hultgren says the silage chop is underway, with one large dairy he supplies about two-thirds finished. The local silage harvest could be completed by mid-week.
