Bayer Crop Science sales rose 2.2 percent in the latest quarter. Corn seed and traits sales increased nearly 30 percent, helped by global price increases and acreage expansion. The sales of soybean seed and traits dropped 18 percent, due to the voiding of the label for dicamba-based products. Herbicide sales were up 1.4 percent. Insecticide sales declined 13 percent.
