Soybean and Corn Advisor President Michael Cordonnier says South American farmers are trying to take advantage of the trade war between China and the U.S. “Brazilian farmers think they are in the driver’s seat. I’d have to agree with them. We saw all these reports about the trade issue between the United States and China. China wants to avoid buying any soybeans from the U.S. if they don’t have to. That’s going depend, to some degree, on how fast exports start out of Brazil.” Cordonnier thinks Brazil will be able to ship new crop soybeans by the end of January.
