Farmers are waiting for soybean harvest to take off in south central North Dakota. Based in Ashley, North Dakota, Maverick Ag owner Mark Rohrich says there are still a lot of green soybeans in fields. “Some I tried combining tested at 14.5 percent moisture, but just had more green beans than we wanted for delivery to the elevator. Most still have some variation of leaves on them, yet.” Rohrich expects an average-to-above average corn and soybean crop. The corn took advantage of being green for a long period of time. “Therefore, we should have some pretty nice test weight. I would call the crop two weeks ahead of normal.”
