Hope is not a marketing plan. Advance Trading Risk Management Advisor Tommy Grisafi challenged the audience at the Big Iron Farm Show to look for ways to prevent a repeat of the current market scenario. “You all found out our number one customer is a communist country and they play dirty and our government willing to play dirty, too. Why are we not taking the soybeans, crushing them into meal and feeding them to hogs and exporting the pork? Well, it would help if we had a crush plant and we’d probably need less Facebook pages and riots on having a hog building in our neighborhood.” While people may resist change, Grisafi said this grueling market situation could be the impetus for developing more domestic market opportunities in the future.
