During RRFN’s Crop Watch broadcast Tuesday, Cogswell, North Dakota farmer Eric Delahoyde said weed issues have sprung up. “We always struggle with waterhemp and kochia and they’re coming on hard. There have been some missed opportunities for pre-emergence with how fast the crop has been popping up out of the ground.” Dairyland Seeds District Sales Manager Keith Rekow is pleased with crop emergence but has some concerns. “We haven’t had that soft, healing rain, but soybeans need that.” At Britton, South Dakota, DuWayne Bosse was still working on planting his crop.
