Researchers at the University of Minnesota have discovered a new species of parasitic wasps that could prove effective against soybean gall midge. Researchers found there was no information on this wasp in any scientific record, and findings suggest this new-to-science wasp as likely being a natural enemy of the soybean gall midge. Soybean gall midge is a recently emerged pest in the Midwest that can have devastating impacts on soybean fields.
