The back-and-forth weather could result in more health problems in calves. “The classical pneumonia case with the rollercoaster of temperatures will stimulate respiratory issues with younger animals,” said Zac Carlson, beef cattle specialist, NDSU Extension. Carlson reminds producers to ensure there’s dry bedding and adequate feed.
