Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has launched a plan to address climate change. The framework calls for increased availability for electric vehicles and a buildout of the infrastructure for charging EVs. It also incentivizes the investment in renewable fuels and advanced biofuels. The Walz plan permanently protects and restores wetlands through conservation easements and wetland banking. There is support for farmers to sequester carbon, improve soil health and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by managing fertilizer and livestock nutrients.
